In early 2023, Northern Stevedoring Services (NSS), a prominent port terminal operator at the Port of Townsville, QLD recognized the need for enhanced visibility, improved efficiency, and heightened safety in their operations. To address these challenges, NSS embarked on the implementation of the Inbound Vehicle Booking System (VBS). Qube NZ, the largest provider of empty container depot services in New Zealand, has recently introduced the Inbound Connect vehicle booking system (VBS) platform at its 13 sites across Auckland, Christchurch, Tauranga and Hamilton. Qube NZ had operational and commercial requirements that would enable improved efficiency as their volumes continue to grow. In order to ensure these requirements are met, Qube NZ recently partnered with Inbound Connect to implement their advanced VBS technology platform as a replacement for its existing VBS system, which was unable to meet these needs.

This case study highlights the successful deployment of Inbound Connect’s VBS at the Qube NZ empty container depots, demonstrating its world-leading functionality, sophisticated prepayment technology, and its ability to provide a seamless transition from the existing VBS system .
